Three-Star RB Jordan Hall Decommits From Miami (OH)

One of Ohio’s most productive running backs is back on the market.

Jordan Hall, the three-star back out of Princeton High School in Cincinnati, has decommitted from Miami (OH), announcing the decision on X. Hall had been pledged to the RedHawks since June.

His message was measured rather than bitter. Hall thanked the Miami coaches and players, called his time on campus a great experience, and said he and his family decided it was best to play out his senior season uncommitted and make a final call in the winter. He closed it with a final goodbye to the program he’s leaving: thank you Miami, “forever and always.”

Hall opened his senior year with a statement game against Archbishop Moeller at Paycor Stadium. He had three touchdowns, including an 88-yard score through the air. Recruiters noticed immediately.

Cincinnati offered on Aug. 24. Penn State followed. So did Maryland. That’s a Big Ten-level offer board forming around a back who was committed to a MAC program two months ago, and it’s the entire reason this decommitment happened when it did.

At 5’10 205 pounds, Hall is built like a between-the-tackles runner but plays with track level speed. That combination is why the offer list keeps growing.

The Instate Buckeyes have tabs on the talented three-star. Ohio State is set to host Hall in Columbus this Saturday for the Buckeye’s season opener against Ball State. He’s looking forward to the “environment” of the stadium. The Buckeyes haven’t offered yet, but that could change. As they’re looking at running backs in the 2027 class.

Hall said he plans to decide in the winter, per his post. That gives him a full senior season to keep raising his floor and gives programs several months to make their case.

Meanwhile, the RedHawks lose the highest-rated player in their 2027 class and one of the better backs in the state of Ohio. They also lose him to their own recruiting success: Miami saw him first, and everybody else caught up. A never ending cycle for the Redhawks sadly.

Hall’s decommitment isn’t the end of that recruitment and expect a more complete idea of his recruitment by closer to winter.
