RECRUITING NEWS: Five-Star EDGE Abraham Sesay Shares The Latest; “It’s Eye Opening.”

One of the fastest-rising prospects in the Class of 2027 has begun to focus on his recruitment: five-star EDGE Abraham Sesay. He cut his list down to six in February. Sesay included Penn State, Notre Dame, Duke, Florida State, Miami, and South Carolina. It seems as if a few schools are to watch in this one.

Sesay has been vocal on how impactful coaches are on the recruiting cycle. He said, “How coaches conduct recruiting. Everybody does it differently so seeing how different schools do it is really eye opening." He has great interest in the seven schools in the mix, but a smaller cut is coming sooner.

One school has made a big push here, and that’s LSU. They are moving fast in this one and will host him first for his official visits. He then will go see Duke, who are trying to take advantage of their recent success. After his visit to Duke, he goes to South Bend to see one of the favorites in this one. Then, he will go down south to see Florida State. An official visit is actively in the works with Penn State, another school who’s trying really hard in this one.

Notre Dame has positioned themselves very well in this one, and they might be one of the schools in the lead. Penn State is another school making a ton of noise in this one for a recruit in their own state. Matt Campbell really wants to keep Sesay in the state. But, LSU is going to make this one interesting. They are coming in hot and have Sesay’s attention.

His relationships with each coaching staff are all great, he said. The Exton, PA native added, “I’ve been able to create amazing connections that even after my improvement, I think I’ll be able to go back to for advice or any other things.”

Sesay isn’t in a rush to make a decision and we can see one coming maybe after his official visits. Despite that, he talked about his recent visits, “Just how everybody conducts practice and why they do things. Looking at everybody’s philosophy was crucial for me and i’m glad I got the contrast and comparison of different schools.” Furthermore, Sesay is beyond pumped for his future, “It’s been really a blessing experience and i’m so excited for the future.”
