Who is Darnell Kelly?

Darnell Kelly is a 3 ⭐️ quarterback in the 2026 high school recruiting class. He attended Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia. In his time at Langston, he numbered 7,588 passing yards, 84 touchdowns, 25 interceptions, and a 64% completion percentage. On the ground, he racked up 176 carries, 1,435 yards, and 21 touchdowns.

The 6’2 Dual-Threat QB held over 25+ offers, including schools like North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Tulane, and Colorado State. On April 3rd, 2025, he announced his commitment to the Colorado State Rams.

Now, he enters the program as a freshman in a very competitive quarterback room, where he has multiple veteran QBs to learn under. Can Darnell Kelly see any reps as a true freshman this season?
