AG Football Game Preview and Predictions
The second game of the 2026-27 CFB season is tomorrow for the Rams, and there are some things to look forward to.
First being that its AG Week. Colorado State will debut their new orange A&M jerseys this Saturday, September 12th, against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds. SUU is coming off of a 47-42 win over Weber State. The Thunderbirds had 514 total yards of offense and forcing two turnovers on defense. SUU Quarterback Will Burns had 146 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. Running back Floyd Chalk had 24 carries, 183 yards, and three touchdowns.
The Rams are coming off of a thrilling 35-13 victory over deep rival Wyoming. CSU Quarterback Hauss Hejny had an outstanding performance, totaling 255 yards plus a 28-yd catch on a trick play. Hejny also threw for 5 touchdowns with a 70% completion rate. Rams WR RJ Vick Jr. had himself a day too. The 6’3 wideout had 6 catches, 75 yards, and three touchdowns. The defense also forced 4 turnovers. Three of those through the air and one forced fumble.
Colorado State is -20.5 point favorites over Southern Utah this Saturday. Will the Rams cover or will it be another AG Day scare like last year against the UNCO Bears? My score prediction is CSU 52-14.
