DC Tyson Summers Fired Mid-Game

During last Saturday’s 56-36 loss to the Oregon State Beavers, Defensive Coordinator Tyson Summers was fired mid-game. That is something that the college football world does not see often.

Even though the headlines said he was fired, it went down a little differently. Head Coach Jim Mora relieved Summers of his playcalling duties during the game and just for that game. Summers then decided to walk off the field and leave which led to him getting fired. Had he not walked out, he could still be a part of the Colorado State program. Unfortunately, they did not, and Tyson Summers is no longer with the Rams.
