The Knueppel Pipeline

On June 29th 2026, Duke gained a commitment from former Duke star Kon Knueppel’s brother. Duke landed 2027 4 star Forward Kager Knueppel. Kager is a top 30 recruit in the 2027 class. According to 24/7 Sports, Kager is currently ranked the 4th best Power Forward in the class. He is ranked number 1 in the state of Wisconsin. Kager is a 6’10 Power Forward, whom can really shoot from the perimeter. Duke fans are getting a stud who is slept on. Kager is extremely versatile on the offensive end of the floor. Kager’s offensive ability just keeps improving with every game he has played thus far this summer.
Duke is getting a guy, whom is a sneaky good shot blocker and defender. Kager brings a ton of defensive skills to Durham. He is extremely versatile on the defensive end. He has shown throughout the Nike EYBL circuit that he can guard every position on the floor. He has showcased his ability to be a really strong help side defender.
Over the last 2 weeks, there has been some chatter about what Kager brings to the table outside of perimeter shooting. On the recent Field of 68 Crazie Cast Podcast video the guys had Kon Knueppel on the show. These guys talked with Kon about the scouting report on Kager. Throughout this episode, Kon was raving about Kager’s defensive tools. The Crazie Cast and Kon talked about how good of a shot blocker and weak side defender he is. Kon talked about how much the Duke staff loves Kager’s defensive tools more than anything about Kager’s game.
Duke Nation should be extremely excited about this one!! It is going to be special to watch another Knueppel in a Duke Jersey. Huge pickup by Jon Scheyer and staff. The thoughts of Kager playing alongside JBB should strike fear to the College Basketball world. Jon Scheyer and the staff remain dominant on the recruiting trail. LETS GO DUKE!!!!
