WHO IS BRYSON HOWARD?

Bryson Howard is a freshman wing for the 2026-2027 Duke Blue Devil squad. Bryson is a 6’5 190 pound Small Forward out of Frisco, Texas. The 6’5 wing has a 6’11 wingspan. Bryson is the son of Josh Howard, whom is a 10 year NBA Veteran. Bryson played at Frisco Heritage High School. Bryson was the 15th ranked overall prospect in the recruiting class. Howard was rated the number 1 player in the state of Texas. Bryson Howard was named 2025-2026 Gatorade Texas Boys Basketball Player of the Year. Bryson averaged 22.8 points, 8.5 rebounds,3.3 assists per game as a senior at Frisco Heritage. The young superstar led Frisco Heritage to a 34-2 record and the Texas 5A Division State Championship. October 21,2025, Bryson committed to Jon Scheyer and company.

Duke is getting a extremely talented wing player, whom is extremely underrated. Bryson is going to fit great alongside Boozer, Foster and Blackwell. The pairing of him and Rippey together is a luxury to have. Bryson can do it all. He is an elite defender. He gets after it defensively. He has showcased his ability to be a great two-way player. Offensively, he is extremely gifted. Bryson will be one of the best shooters on the team this season. The kid can really shoot the light out of the basketball. Bryson has late lottery pick potential for the NBA Draft. Howard’s game will translate extremely well into what Jon Scheyer and staff likes to do.
