Patrick Ngongba II returns to Duke
Duke starting center Patrick Ngongba announced he will be returning to Duke for his junior season Monday afternoon. Retention seems to be the focus for next seasons roster which is very different from what we are used to seeing with Duke Basketball. All signs are pointing to Caleb Foster and Dame Sarr returning as well. Time shall tell in Durham with those two decisions still in the works of being made.
. Patrick Ngongba is a huge domino that has fallen in place for Duke’s roster construction plan. Ngongba averaged 10.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2 assists, along with 1.1 blocks per game for Duke this past season. Ngongba comes back for another season looking to improve his draft stock and take another step in his development! Patrick Ngongba was one of the most improved players in the ACC. He was the anchor on one of the top defensive teams in the country this past season. Duke is getting back their elite passing big to go alongside the latest addition in Belmont transfer Drew Scharnowski, and the number 1 recruiting class coming in.
