Who is Xavier Wimbush?

Xavier Wimbush is a Defensive Back / Nickelback from Ashburn, Virginia. He was rated as a 3⭐ recruit in the 2026 High School class. He was First-Team All-District the past two seasons.

Xavier held offers from Old Dominion, Dartmouth, Howard, Liberty, Buffalo, UCONN, Bryant, New Hampshire, Morgan State, Towson, Monmouth, Rhode Island, and Sacred Heart.

Wimbush committed to the University of Connecticut on July 4th, 2025. On November 30th, Colorado State sent him an offer. He decommitted on December 2nd after UCONN head coach Jim Mora left to be the next head coach at Colorado State. Just a few hours later on the same day, Xavier announced his commitment to Colorado State.

Now, he joins a highly talented defensive back room where he looks to learn from veteran playmakers.
