Tommy Maher is a sophomore wide receiver from Redondo Beach, California. He attended St. John Bosco in Bellflower, California. Maher totaled 63 catches, 6 touchdowns, and 753 yards. He also lettered in track.
Maher was a walk-on for his freshman season at Colorado State. He made his collegiate debut on November 2nd, 2024 in a game against Nevada at home. Then on November 15th, in the Border War game against Wyoming, Maher had one catch for a 53-yard touchdown. After this game he was put on scholarship. He only played in 3 more games after that, including the Arizona Bowl loss to Miami-Ohio. His freshman stats were 4 catches, 99 yards, and a single touchdown.
His sophomore year, he saw the field a lot more. He played in all 12 games. His best game came against Wyoming again, where he had 5 catches and 52 yards. His season totals were 32 catches and 358 receiving yards. He also had 7 punt returns for a total of 59 yards.
Now, with Jim Mora as the new head coach, and a revamped offense, Tommy Maher looks to be on of the Rams first option wide receivers for the 2026-27 college football season.
