Jackson Holcombe Commits to Utah
Utah added a nice piece out of the portal with Jackson Holcombe committing to the Utes after a strong run at Utah Valley. The 6 foot 7 wing gives Utah a versatile scorer who can handle the ball, rebound, and play with size on the perimeter. Last season, Holcombe averaged 16.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.6 assists while helping Utah Valley win 25 games and reach the NIT.
This is a big pickup for new head coach Alex Jensen because Holcombe brings proven production and local ties to a roster that badly needed fresh talent. Reports called him Utah’s first portal commitment of the 2026 cycle, and 247Sports rated him as a four star transfer prospect. If Holcombe carries over the same all around game he showed at Utah Valley, he has a real chance to become an important piece for the Utes right away.
