On Tuesday morning, four-star defensive lineman Maleek Lee announced his commitment to Georgia Tech, giving the Yellow Jackets one of their biggest recruiting wins of the 2027 cycle.
The 6’2 270lbs defensive lineman chose Georgia Tech over North Carolina, Louisville, Ohio State, Florida, and others. Lee plays at Booker High School in Sarasota, Florida. He is regarded as one of the top defensive line prospects in the country.
Lee immediately becomes one of the premier defensive commitments in Georgia Tech’s class and adds another high-upside piece to a rapidly improving recruiting haul. He could project as a player who could make a major impact in Atlanta down the road.
Georgia Tech hosted Lee for an official visit this past weekend, and the Yellow Jackets seemingly checked every box. Following the trip, momentum continued to build for Brent Key’s program, ultimately leading to Tuesday’s commitment announcement.
