Jayden Cooper Commits to the bucs

ETSU added an important backcourt piece with the commitment of Jayden Cooper, a transfer guard who announced his decision after spending the past two seasons at South Alabama. Head coach Brooks Savage lands a player who already has Division I experience and gives the Buccaneers another proven scoring option heading into next season.

Cooper averaged 11.3 points per game last season at South Alabama and showed he can make an impact against strong competition. Before his time there, he played at Faulkner, where he earned Southern States Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year honors and first team All Conference recognition.

For ETSU, this feels like a strong portal pickup. Cooper brings scoring, experience, and guard depth to a roster Brooks Savage is continuing to reshape, and his 19 point showing against ETSU back in December only adds to the excitement around what he could bring in Johnson City.
