Who is Juice Vereen?

Javonte “Juice” Vereen was a 4⭐ tight end in the 2023 recruiting class out of North Carolina. He was the #13 recruit in North Carolina, and the #19 TE in the country. He committed to North Carolina State where he appeared in 10 games his freshman season. In a 45-24 loss against #10 Notre Dame, Vereen had 4 catches for 65yds. In his sophomore season, he only played in 4 games while recording no stats. After his sophomore season at N.C. State, he entered the transfer portal. In late December, Vereen committed to the University of Connecticut.

At UCONN, he had 22rec for 310yds, 5 TDS, all in 10 games. After his junior season at UCONN, Juice entered the transfer portal once more. UCONN Head Coach Jim Mora had recently departed the university to become Colorado State University’s next head football coach. Vereen wound up following Coach Mora to the Colorado State Rams.

Now, with the 2026-27 college football season getting closer to starting, Juice Vereen is looking to have a major role in the Rams Tight End system. Will we see a potential breakout year for the senior tight end?
